Bob Knight Rocking In The Studio

Look at that, I've been pleasently surprised about a recent personal decision by ESPN. I guess we all have our problems with some of the knuckleheads the "Worldwide Leader In Sports" trots out there on a weekly basis. I won't give any names this time as it's time for some praise. ESPN got one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time to analyze for them in the studio, none other than the great Bob Knight.

Just by listening to him for a couple of days you can tell as a fan that he deserved every win he got over his career. He doesn't waste his time in trying to be funny (even though even he had to take a shot at Hubert Davis today who is brutal in the studio) or trying to make points that every guy in his living room already knows about. He makes great observations, really focuses on the key points in a game and gives you true in depth analysis. It's really refreshing to finally have some substance over style on a basketball program. Hopefully Mr Knight doesn't return to Indiana as proposed by the always refreshing Dick Vitale today. He has won enough and if his stint on TV is cut short it would be a huge loss for ESPN.

If the network keeps him around he maybe would even get sick of some his partners and maybe, just mabye he would one day freak out and throw his chair at Digger Phelps for example. If nothing else, that would be some entertainment.
